Getting that overlap by hand means casting three flowers, waiting for them to firm, then joining them and hiding the seams; here it comes out as one piece with the depth already built in. The petals are deeply veined from the centre outward and gently cupped rather than flat, so they catch light along every fold and read as sculpted at close range. The leaves sit lower than the blooms, which is the detail that makes the cluster look real - dust them a different shade, or brush them gold as in the sample, and the piece separates into components even though it came out whole. At roughly 2.5 inches the cluster is the right size to sit as a single feature on a cupcake, to run several around the base or side of a cake, or to cascade down a tier.
