Moon and Teddy Bear Silicone Mould - Approx 3.5 inch Sleeping Bear on Crescent Moon for Baby Shower Cakes, Fondant, Clay and Resin

A sleeping bear curled on a crescent moon - one press and the whole scene is done, bear, moon and star together in a single piece. That is what makes this different from a plain teddy mould: you are not casting a bear and then building something for it to sit on, and there is no join to hide where the two meet. The bear is asleep with its head tipped against the moon and its arms tucked in, carrying the same fine directional fur texture across the body and a soft, closed-eye face - and the moon is smooth, with a small star at the tip, so the contrast between the textured bear and the plain crescent does the work visually. Colour the two parts differently and the piece reads as two components even though it came out as one. At around 3.5 inches it sits as the focal point of a single-tier cake or leans against the side of a taller one. The sleeping pose is the reason this sells: it is the single most requested look for baby showers, christenings, naming ceremonies and first birthdays, and it works for gender reveals in any colour. Food grade silicone, flexible and non-stick, so the star tip, the ears and the fine fur release without breaking. Also for polymer clay, resin, soap, wax and plaster - it is a popular nursery night light and keyring shape as well as a cake topper.
