Bows are everywhere in cake design right now, and hand-shaping them from fondant almost never reads as fabric. These moulds do. Each cavity is sculpted with the folds, pleats and creases a real ribbon makes when it is tied, so a pressed bow sits on a cake looking like satin rather than rolled sugar. Press fondant, gum paste, modelling chocolate or marzipan into the cavity, level the back, and pop the bow out clean with sharp edges. Works equally well with melted chocolate, candy melts and isomalt, and outside the kitchen with soap, resin, polymer clay and plaster. Dust the finished bow with lustre or pearl powder to catch light, or paint it to match a colour brief exactly. Flexible food-grade silicone releases without tearing even the thin ribbon tails, and the mould is heat safe, freezer safe and reusable indefinitely. Wash in warm soapy water, dry fully and store flat.
