2D Teddy Bear Silicone Mould - Flat Back Relief Mould

This is the teddy for the side of a cake, not the top. Because the back is flat, the pressed bear sits flush against a tier or a plaque and stays put, where a full round figure would need support and would sit proud of the surface. The front is where the work has gone in: fine fur strokes running across the whole body, a soft muzzle, stitched-looking ears and a raised bow at the neck. That fur texture is the difference between a bear that reads as hand-sculpted and one that looks like a stamp. Press fondant, gum paste or modelling chocolate, release, then dust with cocoa or brown powder and wipe the high points back - the powder settles into the fur lines and the whole figure suddenly has depth. Paint the eyes and nose to finish. It also casts cleanly in chocolate for bark and bonbon boxes, and in resin, soap, soy wax and polymer clay - flat-backed shapes are ideal for resin fridge magnets, brooches, keychains and earrings, so the mould serves a craft line too. Suits baby showers, gender reveals, naming ceremonies, first and second birthdays and christening cakes. Pairs well with the 3D teddy mould - one for the side of the cake, one for the top. Flexible food-grade silicone - deep fur detail releases without tearing, heat safe, freezer safe, reusable indefinitely.
